Arts Council Planning Beaux Arts Ball
SAVE the DATE! October 22nd, 2011!
The Alamance County Arts Council is making plans for a black-tie ball to raise money to help finance the Council’s ongoing programs.
The Beaux Arts Ball is held every year and is the main fundraising event for the arts council. “The money raised from the ball will help the arts council bring a wide range of artistic and cultural events to Alamance County throughout the year,” said Cary Worthy, the council’s executive director.
Area artists and businesses will be donating various items for a silent and live auction. Pottery, paintings, trips, fine dining and jewelry are just some of the items that will be available for purchase at the event.
Inspired by our current Seward Johnson sculpture exhibition and by the new art forms and popular amusements (cabarets, the cancan) of the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist era in France, the Alamance Arts Council proudly announces MOULIN ROUGE as the theme for Beaux Arts Ball 2011.
