July 20th: ROSÉ…A DIRECT EXPRESSION OF TERROIR
What is Rose wine? It’s not just pink...and it’s not just for summer. It pairs well with most cuisine all year long. The class examines the versatility of dry Rosé from France, Spain, Germany and California. You will learn about the Rosé pioneers and trendsetters. One thing that is always a surprise to wine drinkers new to Rosé is that it can be made with so many different grapes and that most rosés are not sweet. Rosé wine got its name from the French word for “pinkish” (rosé). It has some of the color typical of red wines, but only enough to give it its pink color which can range from pale orange to near purple, depending on the grape selection and the wine making technique used.
In addition to learning about and tasting these wines, this class also offers a food/wine pairing segment that is always a real taste treat. What could be better? You learn, you taste great wines, you eat great food, and you have a great time. Make your reservation for this class today.
