September 30, 2010 Temple Theatre, Sanford, NC– “CHICAGO”

It’s that time of year again! September kicks off our 2010-2011 Season with a trip to the Temple Theatre in Sanford, NC. Enjoy lunch at the Flame Steakhouse and hold on to your seats as we travel into the roaring twenties with the famed musical “Chicago”! Watch as Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband Amos to take the rap...until he finds out he's been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another "Merry Murderess" Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the "American Dream": fame, fortune and acquittal. October 14, 2010 Chinqua-Penn Plantation, Lunch at the Yancey House Restaurant, Shop for Amish Baked Goods at Yoder’s Country Market

Leave the Captain White House in Graham for Yoder’s Country Market, an Amish market that offers wonderful baked goods and gift items. Lunch is at the historic award-winning Yancey House Restaurant & Gallery. Enjoy Southern cuisine at its finest surrounded by local history. After lunch, tour the architecturally amazing Chinqua-Penn Plantation, which was featured on the A & E show America’s Castles. **Trip includes lunch, admission to Chinqua-Penn and transportation.

October 28, 2010 Country Doctor Museum and Tobacco Farm Life Museum- Bailey, NC

We start at the Country Doctor Museum where people of all ages visit and learn about the history of rural health care in the United States. Docents lead tours through three buildings of exhibits and are available to answer questions. Exhibits contain artifacts relevant to the practice of medicine between the late 18th century and the first half of the 20th century. Bailey Café will be our destination for lunch. Then it’s off to take in the Tobacco Farm Life Museum, where we'll get a guided tour and everyone will make candles. **Trip includes lunch, admission to museums and transportation. November 12, 2010 Billy Graham Library, “A Stranger for Christmas”, Charlotte, NC

We begin our trip with a tour of the breathtaking Billy Graham Library. Then it is on to a wonderful Christmas lunch and production of “A Stranger for Christmas”, based on the book written by Carol Lynn Pearson. “Call your children. Ask them if they’ll take in a little old lady for Christmas. Go on, call them”. And with this challenge, the heartwarming and humorous story unfolds. **Trip includes lunch, admission to the show and transportation.
